In addition to the computer problems, my internet died out last week - along with my telephone and what not...

Okay Mike, here is the information that you requested or commented about:
Windows XPP, not on a laptop, same issue in safe mode, tights make juice taste better, online anti-virus offered by pc-cillin and the 2000 version of pc-cillin, "Ad-Aware" and "Spyblaster" is running along with "Search and Destroy", no p2p sharing programs, gnomes teleport last I checked, 5gb is available, I don't recall knowledge of your email address, active scan type programs would be what?

--

Today, Nicole and I went to the Asia Gate; the one at the Bronx Zoo.  We got there around 8:30a, because of the trains being fast.  Normally, the trip itself would take almost 2 hours; barely made an hour.  However, the Bronx Zoo opens at 10a - so we ate McDonalds!  Stupid signs kept pointing at each other; but no signs would point at the last turn needed... luckily Nicole saw the giant sized arch in the distance, that I still couldn't see; because it was at an angle.

The first 30 minutes after the opening is the best; it's peaceful, and it's practically empty.  Soon after, the swarms and swarms of Summer camp/school students arrived.  We got ourselves a slush after visiting the Jungle World - and got ourselves some kitten pennies.

We made our way up to Tiger Mountain, and saw some kittens.  We even saw some kittens on the way there; we took a lot of photographs - but they were all very shy.  However, the kitten caretakers came, so the kittens got a little more active; we managed to take some nice shots.

Next came the birds - we started with your standard flying birds at the World of Birds.  The building consisted of two floors, allowing people to view the birds from different perspectives.  We even saw a bird that kept picking things up with its beak and flicking it over its shoulders.  And of course, we saw a "big head" bird; and you can't forget the "chainsaw" bird.

There were more birds at the Sea Bird Aviary; but we had to pass the Bison Range to reach it - it smelled a lot.  I guess it was their bathroom hour or something - but luckily, we went past it very fast.  The Sea Bird Aviary was confined with a large dome, constructed of fencing and nets; inside the aviary, was a large pond filled with rocks, that had a lot of bird poop on them.  I mean, there as so much bird poop, that most of the red rocks were half white.  We went through it pretty fast, to avoid any aerial poop bombs; however, we did take some pictures - especially because one them flew up to us to pose, after I took out the camera.  Next was the Aquatic Birdhouse, which was pretty close by.

Inside the Aquatic Birdhouse, were a lot of birds that looked like a crossbreed of owls and falcons; they were able to swim and dive, in addition to flying.  They are the best, because they had an air conditioned room; was a nice place to hang out on such a hot day.

Sadly, we had to keep going - no more air conditioner... the Birds of Prey were all confined in cages - they all looked like they were bored senseless, especially the vulture that kept drinking pond water.

It was around this time when we heard a thunderstorm approaching - but we pretty much ignored it.  They like to follow us around when we go out - they're like stalkers.  I'm serious, they ALWAYs show up whenever we go outside.  Next time you feel a thunderstorm coming, it's because we stepped out the door.

We went to the main area, starting with the Zoo Center; we originally went in to avoid the up coming rain.  Instead, we used it as an HP recovery station; and observed the rhino and camels that resided within.

Next was the shop area - where they sold food and... "gifts."  We got some more kitten pennies; as well as a lot of those "gifts."  We got another slush, including a pan pizza this time; they are actually pretty cheap - considering their size, in comparisons to a Dominoes' medium sized pizza.  Rain struck around this time - so we sat on the tables instead; funny enough, rain never really hit us when we were sitting normally.

We made our way past another bird area - hoping to find more kitten pennies at the next pit stop; however... they fail.  So we ended up circling down to the Mouse House, to view various rodents in their artificial biospheres.  Did you know that rats can grow up to the size of a medium rabbit?  I wonder how big our New York City sewer rats are; imagine fending off 8 rabbit sized rats... or more!  As we exited the area, the rain began to pour - it kept getting stronger too; so we had to cuddle to avoid being rained on.  Then we went back to the main entrance of the Mouse House - it had an overhead, to stop the rain.  But it was as if others had the same idea - over 50 people stood around us.  The rain got to the point, in which steam developed.  We made an effort to leave the zoo as the rain cleared up.  We got ourselves an Ice Cup as we left the zoo - making people think we're crazy for eating it, while it rained... but it was good!  Ice Cups are AWESOME!

We're gunna go again! ... for more Ice Cups~!

Nothing is working for my computer, tried scanning... even got the tune up program to fix up registry and what not.  Everything still comes down to the same problem - lag and freeze, followed by a reboot.

Does anyone play CoN:RoE or C:RtA?

Saturday, July 01, 2006

Basically, these are the problems that exist:

1. Freezing after desktop is loaded, most likely before the programs are completely loaded.
1a. Reboot solves the problem, as it never appears in a row - but can return again.
1b. Turns into BSoD if left in frozen state, but only if freezing occured immediately.
2. Lagging after all programs are loaded.
2a. Rebooting solves this problem, like it does in 1.
2b. Eventually freezes up.
3. Freezing during system disk check, due to program requiring a force reboot.
3a. Force rebooting again usually lets the desk check finish.
3b. Sometimes, waiting works, but turns into problem 1 or 2 afterwards.
4. BSoD into a reboot that takes place 5 seconds afterwards.
4a. BSoD usually only happens after a clean load up, and becomes 1, 2 or 3.
5. Distortions in the sound during Windows boot up.
5a. Not problematic, but can be fixed by turning off sound or lowering volume.
6. Failure to enter Windows OS.
6a. Requires complete power down and multiple reboots.

500mb RAM, 80gb hard drive space, 2.5gh processor speed - what other specs are there?  I can't recall...

Now, away from the computer problematics...

I'm still playing Maplestory, for those interested.
I'm also playing DW5E, slaughtering people.
And then there's also CoN:RoE and C:RtA - very fun.

Computer is still malfunctioning, being a pain still.  So far, nothing seems to be the cause of the problem.  Temperature, RAM, virus/etc, and anything else - including hardware, hasn't seem to be the issue of this sudden problem.

Well, it isn't too bad; for now - but once school starts again, I'm going to be in need of a computer... so it'd be good to fix it now.

On a side note, 4PRPGs are fun...

No luck fixing the computer yet...

Checked the fans, the RAM, virus' and what not, configuration settings... etc.

Any other solutions?  And thanks to the 8 people to have left me an email/commented or called with suggestions.  It's appreciated.

So.. anyone hate the rain?  I do - it always KOs me, and makes me sleep 2+ hours more, regardless of when I go to bed.  Rain today... weather says it's going to be all weekend.
